Mark your calendars, as the 2025 edition of the NEM Day will take place on the 15th of May at Bad Boekelo! The NEM Day is the perfect opportunity to engage with collegues from the Nano Electronic Materials department and immerse yourself in the cutting-edge research performed by the department and beyond.Registrations for participation and for contributions are now open! Please note that the deadline for submitting a contribution is the 30th of April 2025. Furthermore, the registration deadline is on the 8th of May 2025.

The conference
Whether you are a bachelor or master student working on your graduation project, or a full professor with over thirty years of experience, the NEM day is a conference for the groups within the NEM department to come together and share their work in an easy going fashion. If you have never presented a poster or a talk before, it is the perfect opportunity to learn and experience to do so! If you are looking for collaboration, the NEM day allows you to network with everyone in the department. Perhaps someone has the expertise you are looking for! Finally, if you have done some awesome research, we're eager to see what you have done.The location
As with the previous editions of the NEM day, the 2025 edition will take place in Bad Boekelo once more. Bad Boekelo is a hotel and resort located south-west of Boekelo, in the thick of the Twente countryside. At only 15 minutes by car and 35 minutes by bike from the campus entry, it is the perfect place to get away from your comfortable lab environment and show your achievements and research of the past year. Bad Boekelo houses four conference rooms that will be used for plenary and parallel talks, as well as for the poster session. Furthermore, the restaurant renovations have finished, so a proper lunch will be in order. During the breaks there will be coffee, tea and other drinks available for everyone to enjoy. Bad Boekelo also has options for dinner if you want to stay and enjoy the atmosphere after the conference. Dinner is not included in the conference, however.
